So you think you can dance auditions :| Good lord. Got there at 10am, and only got into the theatre at 7pm. You’d think that’d be the most boring day in the world, but it wasn’t atall. I met such great people and had the time of my life. It was so nice to just sit there watching everyone dance. Some hip hop guy just didn’t stop all day, haha. Then watching the ballroom dancers all day, soo amazing. And the break dancing circles. It was so amazing to be in a room just filled with dancers that all act the same as you. I’m so glad to have met everyone I did on the 18th of May. The only disappointing part was getting into the theatre FINALLY at 7pm, and being completely shoveled in and yelled at. Then getting up on stage, and seeing Blake McGrath sitting there on his phone (probably on Twitter, since that’s what he seemed to be doing during the Montreal auditions, or so he wrote). It was as though he wasn’t watching, and it was so incredibly irritating thinking that you got to go up on stage and do your own solo, when .. oh SURPRISE! They’re picking the songs for you, and then lining you up and saying “5,6,7 change” then doing 30 seconds of improv to a random song. So frustrating! I completely blanked and felt so disappointed after because everything I had planned to do in my audition, I forgot about. Ughhh. Wasn’t ready for that atall. So I ended up getting a no, and had to go out the no door, after they cut off my wrist band and threw it out of course. So I walked up the stairs with the people I met in my group, up about 4 flights I guess, then opened the door at the top of the stairs, and ended up between the buildings :| The most humiliating thing of life. However, I don’t think that the 9 hours I spent in the Metro Convention Center in Toronto was a waste. I think of it as a learning experience, and there’s always next year! Hopefully I’ll be more prepared and make it farther. But, totally still h8n’ on Blake, haha
End of the world in 2012? I have no idea what to believe with this. If the world is really going to be over in the year 2012, then what are we all doing! Life is too short to be worrying about such little things, when we could possibly only have just over 2 years of life left. I’ve been thinking lately, I should make a “to do” list of things I want to accomplish in the next two years, so that just in case these people are right, I would have done the things I want.
